写了30分钟,只写了370字,大家帮着给打打分吧,还有两周就要考了,现在慌了:(


AAI5 "previous failure in some enterprise is essential is one is to become a successful leader."


What's the essential element if one is to become a successful leader? Some people assert that previous failure in some enterprise can lend some value lessons to a person and thus is essential, while others don't think so. As far as I am concerned, I think that previous failure is so precious that can be regarded as an essential element if one is to become a successful leader.



At first place, the primary reason I support such claim is that previous failure can be used as a kind of mirror reminding a person of potential crisis that he or she has encountered before. As is known to all, failure is the mother of success. By drawing precious lessons from previous failure, a person can greatly increase his or her possibility of later success. A good example can be found in the story of Thomas Edison, the famous inventor. Before Edison finally succeeded in his attempt to invent the electric bulb, he had failed dozens of times. And these failures help induce the final success. To some extent, we can say that without the previous dozens of times failure, Edison cannot invent the electric bulb.



Secondly, modern business environment is so complex that it is not likely for any businessman to become a successful leader without any previous failure experience. It is extremely difficult, if likely, for us to find someone who always succeeds and never fails. A survey shows that many famous and successful business leaders have tasted the bitterness and sorrow of failure in their professional lives, and that almost all of these business leaders regard their previous failure as a cherishable treasury from which they have learned much valuable knowledge.     



However, previous failure itself cannot guarantee a person to become a successful leader later. The person needs to draw lessons from his or her previous experiences. If the person does not recall his or her previous failure and use the failure as an effective method to forbid himself or herself to make the same mistakes, previous failure means nothing to the person.



To sum up, there is no easy answer to such a complex issue. However, taking into account all the dimensions discussed above, we can safely reach the conclusion I support.
