even it is the best approach: decent experience then MBA.
Assume you get a couple of NGO stuffs in some developing countries, get a couple of years in CSR role, and then get an offer from whatever MBA + MEM dual master in whenever Yale and Duke.
the stories sound good till now, but:
1. America. It is about visa. I guess you know how difficult it is to get someone to sponsor a working visa in such discipline. and not to mention the H1B lucky draw after you get the offer.
I am not quite sure you will be willing to spend things like 100K+ USD to take this gamble.
2. China. This is not practical at all. The economic model of China is exactly developing the hardware, earning as much as money as fast as possible at the expense of the environment. Those who are trying to say things like sustainability is just stopping the "officials and businessmen" from making $$, and they will send you to hail. (in reality, the company wont have much these type of openings)
My view is: you are a Chinese, you don't have the visa. unless you are from a super rich family and don't have to worry about living for the rest of life, forget about environmental protection and sustainability. (or if you are confident enough that you can get an offer from whatever NGO and public service, and thus you dont have to worry about the H1B draw, things will be fine) |
