【邮件分享】UTD,UT-Dallas,德克萨斯大学达拉斯分校

混CD很久，也混了各种学校的Q群和微信群，发现其实很多大家问的问题，前人都是问过的，尤其是和学校打交道的问题，比如问学校项目是几年（如果官网上没写），官网要求托福100的，没到100能不能申，还有orientation日期（方便订票）这一类，或者还有其他一些关于项目和签证的问题。大家获取此类信息最官方的就是和小米/国际生处等发邮件了，不过发邮件要等回复么不是，所以就想建立这么个帖子，大家把以前和学校发过的邮件分享出来（隐私信息可以**打码），以后需要的同学直接到帖子里来搜索关键词就好了~其实不费什么功夫，而且方便他人（听说这叫做回馈CD）。

Does the MSA in UTD provides international students with a CPT or an intern?
I have been studying in Taiwan for one semester as an exchange student in my junior year. All the credits gained in Taiwan were transferred to the University that I graduated from and I do not have a Taiwan transcript now. Do I have to submit the transcript obtained from Taiwan?
I noticed that your school requires an essay and does not mention a personal statement. Does that mean a personal statement is not required?
Do I have to submit a Certifications for Property when applying? If yes, how much money do I need to prove?

All UT Dallas students are typically eligible to obtain an internship once they have met the departmental requirements. You must have earned at least 12 UT Dallas hours at a 3.00 GPA or higher to be eligible to take on an internship as a part of the MS Accounting program. I encourage you to utilize the JSOM Career Management Center’s website for more information on national and international internship and/or employment opportunities, as they work with a variety of firms to assist students in obtaining internship and employment positions. You will need to submit an official transcript from all of the institutions you attended, including those from which you did not graduate.
The essay is the personal statement. They are the same thing in regards to your application.

You can contact the International Student Services Office for information on the amount of money that you will need to show for the I-20. Their contact information is on http://www.utdallas.edu/isso/contact .

I found that the Personal Objectives Statement should be a one-page, double-spaced, typed essay outlining the applicant’s academic interests and goals according to the webpage. This means the statement only includes about 400 words (in a letter paper with narrow margin).

But when I asked you last time, you indicated that The essay is the personal statement. (see below)
Q: I noticed that your school requires an essay and does not mention a personal statement. Does that mean a personal statement is not required?
A: The essay is the personal statement. They are the same thing in regards to your application.

I guess a Personal Statement should be longer (maybe about 500-800 words), including my experience and my objectives. I don't know which kind of essay the school want. Please explain to me ASAP so I can re-upload my essay to meet your requirement.

(I have referred to the essay of one of my friends, who is now studying in UTD. His essay was one-page but not double-spaced. And it talked about his academic and extracurricular experience. I am really confused which kind of essay you would like.)

As mentioned previously, the essay and personal statement are the same as far as your application for admission is concerned. The guidelines listed on the website are just that – guidelines. If yours is longer or shorter, that’s okay. We will still read it.
