请教matter 一词的词性

2002年1月语法有一题

During the nineteenth century the molecular theory of matter was developed, which considered

all matter to be composed of tiny, indivisible entity called molecules.

正确答案选“entity"错我能理解，但我认为all matter 也不对，all 应该跟复数呀，那么matter 是不是该加个s 呢？

不用加s。matter做‘物质’讲的时候是不可数名词。

可数名词

T里的matter很少做可数用

all 可以修饰可数和不可数
