想问一下，E选项为什么不可以呢，我感觉they的指代没有问题，求解释啊！！

[/quot还是把题都看一遍吧，
先看A，it quickly replaced it，一看就是两个it指代不同的事物，分别为starfish，arm（且starfish为复数，应用they），
再看D，同样的问题，they指代两个事物（starfish和arm）
再看E，首先感觉表达很别扭（arm it放在一起我觉得是不好，有重叠使用的感觉），而且放在一个句子里，应该保证一个主语吧（不过代词they但看前面的内容是没有问题的），
再看CDE共同处：结尾doing，doing，原文逻辑是：overcompensating 和growing是相互呼应的两个部分，应保证and连接

If then结构中，主句从句主被动要一致。（OG说的，不太理解，记住好了）
先行词不能离代词太近，arm it, it不能指代arm
overcompensating和growing之间逻辑关系改变。

先行词不能离代词太近，arm it ，it不能指代arm，大叔。。。这句话怎么理解呢。。。是因为if then的原因，还是直接理解成“因为先行词arm紧接it代词，导致it不能指代arm？？
