这道题选B，在过第二遍OG的时候，对A依旧有疑问，OG的解答说A The pronoun those refers to the tons of the 1978 harvest。但是刚开始第一遍的时候我一直觉得those 指代的是rice production,因为在曼哈顿语法里those是指代前面的new copy所以个人感觉those在这里是指代rice production的。。。。。。求大神解答！！感谢！~~

首先，这是og的题，怎么归类到herl题库了。
其次，回答问题。
rich production后面有s么？没有吧。这里这是一个uncountable noun~~而those是拿来指代countable noun 的复数~~问题回答了。
其次假设一定要指代那就把those”指代“的对象代入rich production of the 1978 harvest~~·亲看看不觉得有点多余么。~~~~~这叫redundant~

那为什么不能直接指代rice production而非要加后面的介词？

我个人理解og这么解释的原因之一是those和tons在单复数上的对应，og默认a在单复数上的应用是没有问题的，即those去指代复数名词。原因之二是tons离 25% less最近，25%less作为形容词性质的修饰语，可以看成对tons的补充说明。。
