1、针对这道题目，我能看出来是平行结构。看论坛中有人介绍，从三个动词trigger，brighten，knock之间的关系不难看出，后两者应该是trigger的间接后果，应该用SVO,ING的形式，且后两者平行。此说法如何理解？全都是这样的么？

2、关于修饰关系，C选项中：

怎么理解这个brightening andknocking修饰关系？

brightening and knocking 从内容上讲是修饰storm的，但是从语法上来看，照我的理解，要么就近修饰earth要么就是修饰整个句子的逻辑主语cloud，目前我现在想不出来怎么直接就是带着这个brightening and knocking？

求大神解答！！！

ing form could be used to modify the entire clause ,as long as the entire clause converted into a noun phrase could function as the subject of verb that in now in ING form ,this use of the ING form works best when you want to express the result of main clause

妈蛋，我一开始竟然选了D ,看来能用主动结构，就尽量别用被动结构，另外我感觉在gmat里，comma+ing form，很多情况下都是考查 ing form,作为表达主句的结果

D最主要的不是被动的原因，brighten和knock 形式不平行，这才是硬伤

而且D中被动语态也没有be动词啊，这标准吗？这个我不太肯定，求牛牛解答
