工作经验多少年申请MBA比较合适？

lz本来一直是准备msf的，深深明白msf在美还是比较不主流的，而且商学院里的资源一般都给MBA。然后又看到许多MBA没有要求有工作经验。lz算到开学工作经验也是两年不到，目前只有一年多，想问问cd大神们是不是工作时间太短不适合申请MBA?

MBA确实是会招收相对年轻的Candidates，前提是你足够优秀，而且知道你为什么要申请。相对而言，一般MBA的平均工作时间是5年~6年，但是目前的情况来看有年轻化的趋势，不过一般都在3年以上。相对MSF，我了解不是特别多，但是对于工作经验要求没MBA高，同时提供MSF的院校目前来看也比较少。

MBA的话，再等上一两年是最佳的申请年龄。LZ如果有心的话可以先把gmat准备起来，越早着手越游刃有余。

but the question will be, why you want a MBA in case you are in good track on career?
off for 2 year without income, paying a high tuition fee, and losing two year of working experience is not a really first choice in term of $$......

P.S. 看到许多MBA没有要求有工作经验.........<--------well which univeristy? top one seldom do so unless one is really very very extremely exceptional

谢谢！可是已经开始申请啦，看来MBA暂时不太行

Stanford is an example, but I agree with you. I think no requirements of working experience only means possiblity of an exception

Well it’s not true that an MSF is not good. It depends on what you want to do. I mean do you want to do finance calculations, choose investments, help with M&A deals.. etc. then an MSF can be great! Basically it is a very good degree for many finance jobs. The MBA, on the other hand is more open - the goal is management, but it can be in almost any industry. So it’s not that one is “Better” than the other, but it does depend on what you want.

Finally you are right. 1.5 years is not enough work experience for an MBA. You’d need at least 3 to have a good shot at a good school.

Thank you for your suggestion. I think I should continue to focus on MSF.
