Doyou agree or disagree with the following statement? The effective leader triesto make others feel they have been part of a decision
Leaders play an important role in theteamwork. They are the backbone of the team. A wise leader could enable companyto make more profit. But what feature should an effective leader have- Kind, work hard, optimistic and so on. But in my point of view, make others feel theyhave been part of a decision is not one of them. It is nothing but a kind of wasting time and it is meaningless.
To begin whether take part in the decisionwill not affect the work ,take bees as an example, most of the bees just dowhat they were told to such as take care of babies , make sure the secure if homeor search for foods. They even have no idea what the meaning of their work, butthey still make an excellent job and, thanks to this work pattern, Bees arealso very efficient. This theory also works on the company.
Furthermore, it will waste a lot of time tolet everyone participate in. Imaging how long would it take to face everyoneneeds. Whereas it might took only one minute for an impressive leader to makethe decision. Time is gold. It might be true that the discussion could bring abetter idea. But the 'better idea’ just can't compensate the value of the timethat it might take. Moreover in the most of situation, what the understrappersuggested are limited by their major.
Finally, the advice of the staffs can'ttake care of the whole task. There is no denying that the staffs are the expertson their own field. But as a decision of the whole group, it should contain alot of aspects while most of them can only give the advice that benefit themselvesmost. For instance, you work at the marketing department, you might hope thatthe budget of advertisement could be raised, and the accounting might have anadverse idea.
For all the reasons above, i thought there is no need to let all the members participate in the decission. it cannot bring more benefit to the company and also time consuming. As efficitive leader they should learn to make decision by themselves
