OG对D的解释有这样一句话In choice D, The should be His,and being should be omitted.

用his肯定是没有问题的但是为什么不能用the呢

the没有his更能表达准确的物主意思啊 “这个右手残了，他用左手”肯定不如“他有手残了，他用左手”

这里边涉及到代词的用法，独立结构的用法，
你后一个句子是介词短语作状语，the既然是定冠词当然所指，前边出现过
而独立结构在句首，其实是从句的省略，它凭空出现在一个the是没有办法指代后边的，
而物主代词有此用法

这我不知道怎么说了，词典里in 的用法里单有这一条，
所以这可以算个固定搭配
