求助prep的两道题

两题形式差不多，考同位语用法，但是为什么上面一题语法笔记上说，同位语就近修饰million不行 但下面一题又可以用 an increase指代整件事呢？ 恳请指教

还有一题类似的指代问题  答案E中who 不会指代了US吗？  因为我记得有一题语法笔记是用这样的指代错误杀掉的……

那B呢 为什么不能用同位语呢？

同位语有几种结构;BY说的....

1. 名词性同位语. n.., n;     n,a/an +N, the, +n, n

$950 million, a part ( 根据NN 们的总结, 这样的同位语两个东东必须完全对等..)

  可是, LZ 反问一下自己,  a part 和 million 能对等吗? ..这里是不可以的..

我做的的时候也错啦.. 后来想想明白啦.

2. 概括性同位语, 用一个概括性的词去概括前面解释的对象: a program/information/an effort/ a practice  that.....

   an increase 在第二题中就可以概括性的说明前面的东东...所以, 可以用an increase

------关于,

(D) million as a part of a deal to make 

(E) million as part of a deal that will make        

D, E 我也想了半天...

    后来觉得, to make 放在这里有歧义..   原来应该是修饰DEAL 的, 可是, 在C中, 变成表目的啦, purchase to make

   E 中却没有这个缺陷.

我觉得这里的a part of a deal不是第一种同位语却是第二种:就是指代前面整个公司的收购事件The computer company has announced that it will purchase the color-printing division of a rival company for $950 million是DEAL的一部分,这样的话B是不是就成立了?
