前面都是secheduled cancellation. 后面是9个cancellations. 所以这9个cancellation里至少得有2个以上的scheduled cancellations

我有一点理解你的意思，好象这里玩的是文字游戏，但我对第一句话不明白，On a certain day, nine scheduled flights on Swift Airlines were canceled，和选项a：More than one or two airplanes were scheduled for the nine canceled flights。既然已经说了9个scheduled flights canceled，当然more than one or two....，a不是废话吗？谢谢！

在这一题中，flight 和 airplane 是两个完全不同的概念。

因此，第一句话不是废话。假设，那九个被取消的flights完全由那1或2架由机械故障的飞机来承担的话，我们就得不出结论：之所以取消那九次飞行任务不完全是由于机械故障所致。
