这题我只有一点不明白就是用in attributing 开头还是用if 开头，别的错误就别再解释了，我纠结在AC选项怎么就主语指代错误了呢，我知道应该是Defense attorneys 发出的这个 attributing 的动作，我把AC简化一下就是 Defense attorneys .......but in attributing .......,the perpetrators，，但是为什么在这个时候in attributing 的主语是the perpetrators而不是 Defense attorneys ，明明是but前后有两个主语，但是为什么解释都说这个动作的主语是the perpetrators。
还有就是BD选项用if ，简化为 Defense attorneys.........but if ........,the perpetrators，这个时候if 引导的是从句么，如果是的话该从句的主语应该和主句主语保持一致，那么谁是他的主句谁又是他的主句主语，为什么是主句，为什么是主句主语？

我不是什么NN，我只是想简单的谈下我的看法：
attributing 分词这里状语要和主句主语相一致。但这句中，无论是Defense attorneys 还是the perpetrators 作attributing 的逻辑主语都是不成立的。所以这里不能选in attributing。
B，D我们要以句意为基本，前面一句是概述个基本情况，BUT引出了特例，所以后面if引导条件状语，主句当然跟在后面进行主要阐述，所以哪个是主句一清二楚了。

在这里，but前后连接的是两个完整的句子。
完整的句子，but+完整的句子。
所以but后面的句子看成一个完整的部分，就不要考虑前面的主语问题了，
因此in attributing 的主语是the perpetrators而不是 Defense attorneys 。
（but也有不是连接两个完整句子的情况哦，结构一般是 S V O but V O. 一般情况相同主语省略了的。）

后面的句子是一个条件状语从句，
if S V O, S V O.
这两个主语并不一定需要一致。
比如，If you study hard, your parents will be very happy.
但是If 条件状语从句有一种省略情况，
省略相同主语和be动词，
比如，If beaten by Tom, you need to go to hospital.
这个例句可能很丑，但是我想说的意思是这种省略主语必须相同，省略的也只是be动词。
