UC Irvine 发来一封邮件,开头就是"恭喜发财,因为你GMAT exceptional,我们要给你Dea's Fellowship.快申请吧...."

不用说,这是拉客的,不过有几个疑问:1.烂校的这种承诺真能兑现吗?2.ETS未经考试者同意可以泄露考试成绩?3.有人遇到过类似情况没有?

This is quite normal, as long as your gmat score is superieur than a certain fixed standard. We all receive this kind of stuff. Normally you are only considered for the fellowship, whether you get it still depends on the assessement of your whole application. However, even if you get the fellowship, do you think it's worthwhile to attend a school without paying for two years and then spend the rest of your life desperately looking for a decent job?

偶的垃圾桶里也有一封同样的信，if it is a previlege for Everybody, then it won't be a previlege. Besides, anything comes easily can be too good to be true. f

Since when UC Irvine became a 烂校? Irvine is consistently in 2nd tier on BusinessWeek ranking, where you can also find BC, BU, UIUC and etc.

2.ETS未经考试者同意可以泄露考试成绩?

This is an option in the survery after your GMAT exam. You must have ticked that checkbox.

UC Irvine is also Top 50 in USNEWS tied with Iowa, Texas A&M, Wiscosin-Madison.

The university is also top 50, even above UT-Austin.

I guess the total Chinese mainland enrollment for top 30 each year is around 500. Do you think you are so Niu to regard UC Irvine as Lanxiao?

其实无可非议，申请过程就是我们和biz-school双方实力较量的过程：你强他弱，他给你的待遇自然比H/W/S宽松的多；如果你进TOP 1－20的竞争力不是强，又很想MBA，那他对你申请成功还算是个不错的选择。从TOP5-TOP50学校在分数、截至期限、申请手续要求、奖学金等等方面的宽松是大不一样的。

hehe, 偶也收到了。 UC Irvine还不是特别烂的说。另外Irvine的公司特别多，相信找工作也有一定优势。不过在国内太没有名气。如果你的目的只是为了来美国，那申请一下还是不错的，如果是为了念top MBA后更好地回国工作，就没有必要申请。

同意！There is no guarantee that you can surely get a Top 10 offer with a high GMAT
