hehe, don't get personal. no intent to offend anyone. just took for granted that this school is not in the top 50 scope. should have checked the ranking first.

每年申请top30的大陆学生太多了,竞争力也非常强,我也收到了这封信.如果不是由于移民加拿大,我会申请它的.我申请的加拿大学校排名也肯定在irvine之后.不过我想top30之后排名也没什么重要了.

hehe, 偶也收到了。 UC Irvine还不是特别烂的说。 另外Irvine的公司特别多， 相信找工作也有一定优势。 不过在国内太没有名气。 如果你的目的只是为了来美国， 那申请一下还是不错的， 如果是为了念top MBA后更好地回国工作， 就没有必要申请。

UC Irvine is a 2nd tire school (30 - 50) on the national ranking, but it has very close connection to the business communities in the Irvine/Southern California area, and is considered a strong regional school there (WSJ 2005 regional school ranking: 34).

There are many big name companies in the Irvine area, and this certainly is a big plus for students who want to look for jobs there.
