想问问大家这篇文章有什么大问题吗？这次大作文是fair，这是我12.8考试前写的一篇。

题目：Some people think that government and companies should keep their patents forever, while others think the government and companies should share their discoveries with all scientists in the world. What is your opinion and why?政府应不应该独享专利权？

In recent year, there is hot topic among people whether government and companies should keep their patents forever. Some people think that governments and companies should share their discoveries with all scientists in the world, since we can enjoy new things together. As far as I am concern, patents should be under protection forever. And I will explain my reasons in the next three paragraphs.

To begin with, government or enterprises can make a lot of money through keeping the patents. For example, my brother worked in the famous computer company in Beijing
. Every year, the developers should invent some new programs for society. Last year, a team found a way to make photo looks brighter on the computer screen. Then, these workers spent a whole year to make it. As a result, the company invented new software called” beautiful day”, which applied to practice immediately. Under the protection of patent law, my brother’s company is the only producer in the market. Therefore, they made a great profit from consumers.

In addition, the benefit of patent is a good incentive for scientists to discover more. For example, one of my college professors is good at biology. He can create some drugs that can soothe bad emotion. Once the medicine put into market, people are willing to buy it, since everyone wants a good mood. Because of the support of patients, my professor Jack enjoys a higher reputation, everyone regard him as a pioneer. Therefore, the positive feedback inspires the professor work harder on new researches. Now, he is going to do more study on the treatment of cancer.

Admittedly, sharing patents with more people can save social resources and money, also can lead to collaboration. However, protecting patent can help raise awareness of respect scientists. For example, when I was in primary school, my teacher Linda told us that we should not copy other’s homework, because they made effort to finish. If we always think of taking other’s efforts, we cannot show respect for them. Similarly, if all scientists share with the same patent, nobody will know who invent it first, thus some smart scientists cannot be respected and many scientific products cannot be cherished

In a word, governments and companies should keep patent forever, because it has more advantage than sharing patents with all scientists in the world. We can encourage more people to make up new ideas and promote our society develop faster.
