Hey there, bud. I just LOVE looking at profiles, so let's have a peek. Since you want to work in the States after graduation, I’d like to talk about the job market for Financial Engineering major first. To be honest, the demand for students from this major has not been very strong these past few years. The market is definitely supersaturated in this field at the moment. So, if you are not graduated from the top programs (CMU, NYU or Columbia), job hunting will be an extremely hard task for you. Now, UIUC’s MFE is a very young program. Though the school itself is SOLID, the program lacks an industry reputation and the network it needs to be really great. If you absolutely want to get an I-banking job, I would recommend you work for a couple of years first and make yourself competitive enough for CMU’s program. Yep, that’s definitely the best pathway for you. Reach back out if you need anything else! Jon Frank -- by 会员 JonFrank (2012/12/11 16:55:35)
