弱弱的问一句，美国有没有预录取？

老爸朋友的儿子，今年去了英国的莱斯特大学。他告诉我，当时他并没有雅思成绩，所以他是先联系了那边的教授，把自己的情况说明了，然后教授给了他一个预录取，他达到了要求的雅思分数之后，就给他发了正式的录取。我想问一下，美国研究生有没有这种的情况？我知道美国有双录取，但是我肯定不会走双录取，肯定是在国内通过托福考试。

LZ，你说的情况叫做 conditional offer
英国学校一般会con你的均分、雅思等
需要换full offer的时候达到他们的条件

I think what you are asking here is something about a “conditional offer.” In the States, many schools will give you “conditional offers,” which means you will be accepted under certain conditions. Usually these conditions will be like, “you need to finish your college and manage to get the Bachelor’s degree,” or "you need to have a TOEFL score of 100.” Not every program give conditional offers. Especially those top programs, they will just accept the candidates who have already demonstrated all the competencies and requirements the school asks for.

For English standardized tests, like TOEFL, I’d HIGHLYL recommend you prepare better and get the score in the first place. Most of the top programs will not send conditional offers and give you a chance to retake it later. Hope this all helps, dude！
