These are some tough questions here, I agree! For question 1, I think the approach is to “write specifically”. Meaning don’t write in general about “Some leadership problem”, but first imagine yourself as a SPECIFIC leader in a SPECIFIC place (so let’s say you are the CEO of Apple for example”. Then think of a specific crisis. Is inflation cutting into profits? IS the change in exchange rate killing your sales? Etc. etc. Once you have a specific problem, I think the question becomes easier to answer. 2. The strategy here would be the same as above, being as SPECIFIC as possible. Also, I would suggest choosing an organization to lead that has something to do with you and your goals. So if you are into banking, choose a bank to lead! That way it helps the school imagine you as a leader in what you have already proposed as your goals, and also strengthens your application!! Jon Frank -- by 会员 JonFrank (2012/10/26 16:17:53)
Hi, Jon! Thanks for your valuable tips. This is really a intricate question. Here I still have some concerns in writing this essay, would please kindle help: 1. the first topic asked "needs to be addressed"and "If you were"--dose it mean I have to talk about an on-going crisis and I am actually not the leader? can I just share a past experience I helped an organization get ride of a crisis ? 2. For the second topic, do you think it is appropriate to write about what I would do if I were the CEO of my current employer ? |
