Answer: E 这道题A怎么错了哇。 when compared to省略了it is。 it可以指代group呀。 E compared to逻辑主语是谁。

是不是Ａ　是　ｇｒｏｕｐ　做主语，和２０　ｐｅｒｃｅｎｔａｇｅ比较。　所以不对　Ｅ　是宾语与宾语比较

是35%和20%比较，A选项的when多余，应该是A compared to/with B, B选项比较对象错误，C选项it多余，D选项错的更离谱，所以选E

A选项，就算when引导的从句成立，那么它是时间状语从句，在这句中充当时间状语，这样的话，这句话又是怎么样的一个逻辑意思呢？不知LZ考虑过没有。

我觉得这道题目逻辑上比较的 % of population啊。
还原A选项 -> in 1910 this group made up 35 percent of the population when (this group is) compared to 20 percent in 2000.
A 选项错在，首先when compare to 从句的主语省略，意味着省略的主语一定是主句的主语。这样话 compare to 前后比较的对象不对。应该改为 in 1910 this group made up 35 percent of the population when (this group is) compared to the group in 2000.
E选项用分词修饰前面的宾语 35 percent of the population
这样比较就对了，还原原句。
in 1910 this group made up 35 percent of the population, compared with 20 percent (of the population) in 2000

1. 我个人感觉when 有问题 when 可以做关系副词等于in which 还有一个神马用法记不得了反正这里2个用法都不是
2. compare to 是非同类事情的比较所以with　ｂｅｔｔｅｒ
３.　这里是百分比的比较（我有点感觉玄乎　想起来　德国核电站　ＡＣＣＯＵＴ　ＦＯＲ那个题目。。。）　　你说的逻辑注意我还真。。。。真不知道了。。。

但是我觉得即使按楼上的那样改了以后，A还是不对。
因为这时when是一个条件从句，当……时，但是这句话却没有逻辑上的条件关系.

in 1910 this group made up 35 percent of the population when (this group is) compared to the group in 2000
文中愿意是说1910占35%，而2000占20%。他们之间有对比关系无条件关系。也就是说------不管你是否compared to the group in 2000.它都是made up 35 percent.的
这时就不能用when

when这里成立的话，是时间状语从句啊，有逻辑关系。
为嘛说是条件状语从句，还有你说 “因为这时when是一个条件从句，当……时”，如果是条件状语从句，为嘛解释“当。。。时”。

求大神解释，本人也在学习中。
