Well, an MSF might be more along your line in this case. Because an MBA CAN be good for career changers, but you have to keep in mind the realities of the job situation etc. That finance recruiters who recruit from MBAs will likely prefer MBA candidates who already have a few years of experience in their pocket. But of you get an MBA it certainly can get you a good way towards a top management job in your industry. Either way, breaking into finance is tough. But if you have faith and a good GMAT ;), you can do it!

of great help, 3ks, jon frank
so, basically, mab provides two chances. 1, career change, 2, enhance your presence in your original industry,
regarding to my own circumstance, i got 5 years of w/e in media and journalism, despite a mba, it would be still extra difficult for me to break into, ( i've thought about breaking into by doing a mab focusing on finance courses, yet your answer kind of frustrated me), though there might be cases succeeding in breaking into, it's not a 100% thing.
am i understanding correctly?
definitely, a msf would provide me with more solid training on finance, which would be favorable when coming to employment, yet i figure that would be mostly entry-level jobs, right?
again, 3ks, jon.
