答案是B
我认为“，nearly.....”这句话是一个modifier，那么它是修饰谁的？是不是每个选项都不一样？
比如A是修饰41 million tons。E是修饰rice production。这个根据that\those可以看出来
请问我这样想对吗？
那么B又是修饰谁的呢

一个副词放在这种地方不应该是修饰前面的谓语动词reduce么，后面那部分明明是补充说明reduce的程度

我的意思是nearly less than the 1978 harvest这个整个应该是一个modifier,是修饰谁的？
你说的nearly（adv）应该是修饰less than（adj）的

修饰rice production，这里的harvest和production是语义上非常平行的，所以没必要加those

看修饰语讲的是什么，看语义。这个句子中没有什么adv可以被修饰吧
