题目是kkk练习册里的，不清楚哪年的题先把题目粘过来：

我的答案：A
正确答案：C

做题的时候以为began修饰的是which那句话，也就是began的主语是Roman Colosseum，所以错选了A
请问如何判断began的主语是Construction？

这题的考点有3个：
1/ comma which VS comma + Ved
2/ 句子结构
3/ logical meaning

下面来说说每一个考点：
首先, comma which 是用来修饰 comma 前的名词的，所以这里A 选项修饰的是 Colosseum ; comma Ved 是修饰 comma 前的名词的，如果是 X of Y 的结构的话，大多数情况下修饰的是X，一般后面会有出现modifier 来帮助我们确认修饰的是X还是Y，当然也有修饰Y的情况，具体要看后面的modifier 来确认。楼主看这里B选项后面的modifier 有明确的给出 as the F. amphitheater 显然这里 comma Ved 修饰的是Colosseum 而不是 Construction。当然B选项还有句子结构的问题（没有谓语）和逻辑的问题(refer to 最后一点)

然后, 正常的句子结构的话，必须要有主谓宾。这里选项A 如果是修饰 comma which 从句的话，那么后面 was completed 也有可能修饰 comma which 从句，这样的话句子边没有了谓语。如果将 begin 看作是谓语修饰 construction 那么，正确的方式应该在 was completed 前加上and . 所以A比起C就落了下成。当然A选项也有logical meaning 的问题。

最后，就是logical meaning. 什么可以开始于AD 69？肯定是 construction 而不是Colosseum (竞技场）itself。竞技场开始于AD 69 不符合逻辑，只有 construction 才有可能始于 AD 69 终于 regin of Titus.

嗯，即便是逗号分隔开来还是有可能修饰which 从句的，这个方法有点risky，用句意来排除更加好，refer to 我上面的最后一个 point

不一定的可以是 began 作为 which 从句的谓语，所以对于主语就有可能是modifier
