? Do you agree with the viewpoint that people are now easier to become educated than in the past?
With the advent of the new technology, especially the Internet, the way in which people are educated has been changed dramatically. With more accessible education resources and more diversified teaching approaches, it is undeniable that people are now easier to become educated than in the past, when education is extremely restricted by location and time.
First off, with the economic development our current society is equipped with much richer resources for education than the old days. An example at hand is that there are much more schools, universities and professional education institutes with a much larger number of teachers and professors correspondingly. Thus, with such abundant resources, we students may have the freedom to choose some courses that actually interest us and even to choose a certain teacher we like most to teach the course, which is completely impossible in the past when such education resources were quite limited.
In the second place, it is possible and even convenient for us to have access to education at any place at any time due to the advanced information technology. Nowadays we can choose to be educated even at home through online courses, which is totally out of imagination in the past. A case in point is the Coursera website, which is founded by two professors from Stanford University and then attracted lots of famous professors to join in. The website provides free online courses in a variety of fields for anyone at any place around the world. And the course videos can be downloaded to your laptop for you to study at your free time. Therefore, it is obviously easier for us to get educated via the Internet nowadays.
Ultimately, the education itself has experienced mushroom growth in the past several decades since more and more experts have been doing research in the field of education to find out how to make education process more efficient and how to teach in a more appropriate way. With such development in education, we can consequently enjoy an easier way in which people become educated.
In the final analysis, with all the above advantages about today’s education, we can safely agree with the viewpoint that people are now easier to become educated than in the past. |
