新东方的答案是D ,应该改为which  it tends  ，it用来指代silence，小人实在是不明白，请指点，这句该怎么翻译呢，我找不到谓语了，given to接的是哪里？后面的做什么成分？

第二题是两个形容词无法并列

上文除了slience一个单数之外，其他都是复数啊，it也就只可以指代它了。

39.应该是irony的同谓语吧

the first one's answer is D, it should be which it tends.   or to the types of social contexts in which tends to occur is a dependent clause, so it needs to refer back to the sclience.
