030 It has recently been announced that a new high school may be built in your community. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details in your answer.
Currently, there is an idea that building a modern high school in our neighborhood. Some people think it is a good idea, while some people deem that it will bring some negative effects to us. As far as I am concerned, the former makes sense.
To begin with, building a new high school can stimulate the needs for employee, thus reducing the unemployment of local government. Nowadays, due to the increasing population of our country, job hunting becomes so difficult that many individuals here cannot find a job they want. So if building a new high school, the depressed emotion for job hunting will be alleviated considerably. I am glad to see people smile to me every morning before I go to school. Moreover, I don’t need to worry about my bike being stolen by thief, because the crime rate here will be decreased thanks to more job opportunities provided by the new school.
Along with the employment advantages, local children will have a ready access to better education here. In our community, high schools are so few that many local children have to attend school far away from home. For example, when I was a high school student, I rode to school which is famous and far away for home every day. So if I can study nearby home, I will have time to come back home at noon for healthy lunch as well as have a good rest. Consequently, I will have enough energy to study effectively for everything I like.
Finally, establishing a new high school can promote local economic growth. We cannot ignore that a new high school often drive the development of various businesses such as book shops, fast food restaurants as well as a café shop. We can have a coffee leisurely sitting in a small café or spend many hours in a book shop choosing books we love without walk far away.
To sum up, building a new high school is a wise choice for residents here. Not only a university will absorb more job vacancies and stimulate the local economy, it also provides a ready access to local students.
