我是不想再刷分的69族，这背景在CD真的弱到爆了 = = 这一版PS是申请UB的MSF，在论坛上看了ZIYE姐还有各位对PS的讨论，受益匪浅，自己也想了很多，经过一番删改琢磨出了这么一版PS。
但是仍然不能让自己满意，字数也比建议的700字多了不少。自己看的都快恶心了，脑子都快不转了，因此发上来希望大家提提意见，开阔思路共同进步。

As an undergraduate major in finance, the several years’ study develops my interestand cognition to finance. However, I am increasingly profound to realize mydeficiency about finance knowledge throughout my study and work. In order tosatisfy my desire for learning and achieve my career goal, I decide to continue my finance education in a country with most developed financialmarket and more advanced education philosophy.
With my interest and orientation, I project my career as an investment adviser. In the first three years after graduate, mymainly purpose is getting such a position and learning, which is different fromthe learning as a student. It contains not only the knowledge, but also thepractical method and personality. Finding my shortage and advantage, I couldtake actions to improve or promote. After that, I hope I could become a projectmanager in the next three years, leading my own team to handle whole tasks. CFAis another objective at the same time.
Why I make such a career plan? The answeris simple——it is really myinterest and I have confidence to realize. Thereare three aspects I would like to describe to support my optimism. My academiccapacity provides me the first advantage. With the core average score 88.22, Ifinish all the courses in my junior year. This performance brings me thegreatest honor in my school, such as First-Class Scholarship and FuReng Dong Prize in Economic Science, which grants 10 students in over 3200 undergraduates. My high scoretells not only the proficiency to the knowledge, but also the passion to thesubjects. Secondly, I am theperson who is serious about my role. Get good grade as a student is anappropriate example. The responsibility also can be presented in my socialactivities. As the principal percussion in WPO(Wuhan University PhilharmonicOrchestra), I focus on the music spreading on campus. In the three-year duty I have never missed any rehearsal or performance even if there are temptations such as paid show out of campus. For the things I stick to, I am willing to give up others. At the same time, my experience in WPO teaches me the precious lessons about listening and cooperating. Finally, my perseverance always makesme become the outstanding individual in a group, regardless my position at the beginning.For instance, my score of College Entrance Examination is about 50 (750 intotally) lower than the average score in my department because my musicspeciality brings me a special treatment. At that time, I am almost the lastone. After my endeavor, however, I win the scholarship every year and my gradeis stabilized in the top 20%. Dare to dream, dare to do and keep to do are thethings I always tell myself.
Completing allcourses in my junior year, I am an intern in Operation Management Department of PICC (Global 500). Choosing an insurance company rather than bank or securities company is for the motivation to become a generalist who is facility with various fields. My duty mainlycontains the analysis of the business data and field management. In one of my case, I collect the daily business data to build a regression model since I found that the transactions are decreasing from Monday to Friday as a trend.Combined with the expected growth rate, the model is used to forecast daily’s transactions number, in order to find the unusual phenomena and the leaks ofmanagement. Once the abnormal data presented, it was the time to turn my workinto possible reasons’ finding. In practice, the model works well most of the time to find the reasons such as system crash and abnormal absenteeism rate.However, the model fails to contain enough variations to result accurately, so the scope of application is limited. The internship improves my abilityto deal with real world problems and also helps me to realize my deficiency in knowledge. So it is my moment to confirm my decision of continuing education.
Choosing the MSF program of UB is for the reason that Ibelieve this program could be a bridge of the gap between my present situationand my career goal. For one thing, the curriculum of the financial managementtrack provide the courses emphasis on both financial theory and practical applications. This arrangement would strengthen my knowledge to become asuccessful financial strategists. For another, from the schoolfellow in UB, I notice that teachers and faculties are professional and enthusiastic, so I believe that I could get a better realization about investment adviser and find what I should improve through the help of them. What’s more, the Ciminelli Family Career Resource Center attracts me a lot. Through its help, I believe I could be more likely to get competitive internships or interview opportunities.
To apply your program to continue my education drove by my aim to career and passion to finance, giving up the offer from E&Y and the the qualification of recommendedpostgraduate in my Alma Mater, WuhanUniversity. I really hope that my characristics and passion could help me become a member of MSF family in UB. |
