The best way to improve the quality of education in a country is to increase teachers' salaries 文章 In the recent years, the quality of the education has been paid more and more attention on account of the ability to cultivate talents. In order to meet the demand of the trained talents in the development of market economics, how to improve the quality of the education become a problem that required solution eagerly .In my view, increasing teachers’ salary could be treated as an good way, but not the best way in the long term. Firstly, there is no denying that no matter which career people choose, they always make that decision based on not only their original dream but also the consideration of living standard in the future. A high salary may provide people a considerable affordability to purchase all the things needed in the daily life, and never would people concern about living conditions. Hence, they would like to pay more attention to the job. So do teachers. If they achieve a higher salary than before, they would be greatly encouraged and make effort to find out more methods of teaching. In addition, a high salary will also attract more excellent graduates to become teachers. The more people choose teachers as career, the more competition exists in the teaching profession. This kind of competition motivates teachers to research for educational mode which will be appropriate for the students better and to do deeper study enriching themselves. According to the china dialy published last month, 8% graduates from top 100 universities choose teachers as their first job-compared with the 1% occurred ten years ago-due to the increasing salary and better conditions recent years. With the increasing figure, there is also a decline number of teaches without the degree of university. Could this figure of research become a strong evidence to prove the function of increasing salary? However, we should not ignore the disadvantages that an increase of salary brings about and the internal problem of education. An increase of salary means that more capital invested in the education, which may give the government a higher burden, not to mention some drawbacks in the education system effected litter by the salary. Just take my hometown for example, the outdated textbooks, the unsuitable examination system and also litter consideration of students are unable to be solved only by increasing salary. From what has been discussed, I can easily draw a conclusion that increasing salary is an effective approach to improve the quality of education, but not the best way . |
