Followed by the trend of globalization, the world today is like a big multi-culture village, where each country, serving as the members in the village, contains a lot of different customs. And they cooperate together and share all their specific customs to the neighbors. As for China
, one old member with a 5000-year civilization, it does have a lot of specific and miracle customs to show. Though many being so incredible, the most interesting one that I want to introduce to the foreign friends is the “Chinese traditional wedding”.

, one old member with a 5000-year civilization, it does have a lot of specific and miracle customs to show. Though many being so incredible, the most interesting one that I want to introduce to the foreign friends is the “Chinese traditional wedding”.
Firstly, I’d like to show the characteristics of this wedding, compared with the western one. For the people who believe in god, church, is where they get married. Maybe, it’s the most popular one nowadays as the more and more people are into this way. This kind of wedding is always considered to be worship and severe in Chinese people’s eyes. Why is that? Well, when it comes to the Chinese wedding, the style is totally on the other side. The most significant character of the wedding is the red and fiery. That's to say, the phenomenon of the wedding must be as lively as possible. All the relatives and friends of the new couple are invited to the wedding site to increase the so-called "people air". The fundamental color of the ceremony is red, which is the most energetic and happiest color in the world--- the bride will be dressed in red, the wedding place be decorated with red curtails, and even the socks of the couple be in red-color as well. Have you felt the lively phenomenon now? But the most exciting and unique part of the wedding is the process of it.
On the wedding day, the bride has to get up at five to six early in the morning for making up and wait for the bridegroom to come, with a team of best-girls accompanying her. At about ten, the groom comes bringing all best-boys and prepares to take to bride to the living place of wedding. However, in Chinese culture, the groom has to overcome several difficulties before getting his woman; the difficulties are set by the best-girls and bride’s parents. Usually, the groom has to go pass a fire pan, and answer all the sophisticated questions from the best-girls. After all these, the parents of brides give their daughter’s hand to the groom while crying as loud as they can, which is a highlight in the sending. When the couple finally arrive at the site, they will be welcomed by all the wishing people. People applaud and scream to show their best wishes. Then all of them get together in a dining hall and have a big meal. Yes, in Chinese wedding, people eat together to in a big site to show their wishes. After the meal, the couple will send fruits and candies to guests showing their appreciation. Till then the couple finally pass one of the busiest, hottest and happiest day all their life.
Although a lot of young couples do not choose this traditional kind of wedding now, as this wedding usually means a big expense. They'd prefer to choose a brief and economical one. As for me, I’m not sure whether I’ll choose to take this conventional one in mine, but I still hope this Chinese customs can be passed down and well known to the world.
