答案是A，我想问一下，announced that 这个动作应该是在prices plunging之后的吧，为什么也用的是has sent呢？也想请教一下D（我排除了A之后我就选了D……）给出的解释是d. this backward description of the events behind the announcement of factory closing is confusing and awkward.

后面半句话是has announced，不是announced
一个是现在完成时，一个是过去时，漏看一个字，意思完全不一样哦

D的选项有几个错误：

1. prices from an oversupply，注意，price from...的用法不正确，not accurate，而且有被动描述的感觉，OG常说的passive voice

2. to plunging computer chip prices 的修饰不正确，not accurate& awkward，因为， plunging是修饰了computer了，而没有直接修饰到price，所以不准确。

3. due to 有些口语化，比起because引导的从句来说not very formal

4. due to +名词性结构，即使可以，也是修饰的主句的主语，即，the manufacturer,显然不是原文的意思。原文需要两个并列的句子，第一个句子用because来引导表原因，非常清晰。

because强调整个句子是原因，介词短语强调后面的名词是原因
