what do you think of Sloan?

Hi, guys!

I am in Boston pursuing a master's degree, but considering a joint degree with MBA at Sloan. So what is the expertise of this school? Do they prefer applicants with a strong tech background? Please help!

Come on, you are around their campus and your knowledge of that program should be at least as much as ours. Yet personally, I think it's a good program.

Do you have any information about current Chinese students at Sloan?

One other thing. My undergraduate major is business, but have been working in the public sector for years. So do you think I am at a disadvantage in applying for Sloan, as far as my background is concerned? By the way, my GMAT 740 Totel 657 will help to mitigate any adverse impact of lack of tech experience?

I don't think your background will be your disadvantage. Actually if you play with it in the right way, it may turn on to be your advantage, given that no many applicants have publich sector background. However, you need to show that you can crunch numbers to dispel Adcom's concern about your quantitative skills. Your G/T scores are certainly in line with the other applicants, and will help you in your application.
