这题目不知道是选 E 还是 B，争议题，另外我不知道这个破折号——后面的内容是修饰 black americans 还是修饰的 three best novels 啊？？？求牛牛们帮我分析下！！谢谢

我觉得意思上看应该选E吧。我觉得破折号不应该修饰作为修饰成分的black americans，你觉得呢？

我也表示赞同破折号是修饰 three best novels，但是我又比较倾向 ever written by black amricans，因为 ever written 是直接修饰前面的 the three best novels啊，所以这三个小说不是被一个黑人写的啊，所为我又倾向复数， black americans。纠结中。。。。

prep08上的题，个人做题时选的是B,但讲解上给的答案是E。

回答LZ的问题：

一、个人也认为破折号是修饰 three best novels。

二、关于 black americans的问题，prep08语法讲解上说：“此用单数更为清晰，明确指出了一本书是一个人写，而没有多个人写的歧义“，个人看不太懂，觉得这一解释比较勉强。

排除B的原因可能在于including之后 Native Son by Richard Wright与前面Jean Toomer’s Cane不够平行对称。

E项里，除了a Black American让人觉得不太妥，being的使用也导致很多人不敢选。

据PREP08 187题解释including的作用：
这里including并不是做伴随使用，Include和continue都很少有V-ing用法，这里的including是介词。
介词短语一般都是核心词修饰的（A with B in C这种形式下C基本不会修饰B，也不会混乱）。
回到这题，所以B中的including也是介词，修饰的是three best novels。

这样也是可以成立的..

但是这里用including不合适吧，一共3个novel，然后讲包括其中两个？语意上看是说另外两个是。。比较好。

承认including是介词，但是including 放在这里有歧义的，因为可能导致 including 修饰的是前面的 black americans, 指出其它另外两个作者是谁，所以including 用的不好，另外题目的本意实在考同位语，破折号的部分是具体说明 three best novels。无需加什么介词。另外 written by sb 是修饰 one of the three best novels 而不是 the three best novels ，所以这个 sb 是指的一个人，即 a black american. 所以E 赢定了呵呵！

同意，另外including 用的就不太好，会产生歧义，是什么including？是 black americans 还是 three novels。对了，这个 the others being 到底是何方神圣啊？
