1. 动名词和名称不可以算是平行吗？
2. To develop more accurate population forecasts，demographers would have to know a great deal more than they do now about the social and economical. 整个句子框架是现在时啊，为什么用would呢？

通常是可以的，但也视具体情况而定。

这只是一种假设，现实是他们还没有找到比现在更准确的人口预测方法。
