请问有没有require of sb to do sth这种用法，而且，require of sb that后面的使用方法和require that一样吗？只是使用虚拟语气就可以了吗？

例如：OG 109

Legislation in the Canadian province of Ontario requires of both public and private employers that pay be the same for jobs historically held by women as for jobs requiring comparable skill that are usually held by men.

惯用法require sth of sb-〉变体require of sb sth，当sth很长的时候。sth可以是sth，名词性从句（not sure）。不知道doing行不行。

require of sb to do偶认为必错。

请指正。

require of sb to do sth ETS没有说是对的呀？只有require sb to to sth 是对的。

   require of sb to do sth肯定错

   因为可以直接用require sb to do sth

Because of the enormous research and development expenditures required (B) of firms to survive in the electronics industry, an industry marked by rapid innovation and volatile demand, such firms tend to be very large.

The subject of the main clause (such firms) presumes a prior reference to the firms in question. Furthermore, the logical subject of to survive and the logical complement of required should be made explicit. All three demands are met by B, the best choice.

但这边的的required是做后置修饰补语用以修饰expenditures, 而OG又提到为了使to survive的主语firm和 required 的补语(expenditures)更为明显, 所以出现(B)这样的一个较佳的选项.

但是这例子是用在Because of的句型做补语的; 所以像平常一样require用在动词形式上, 倒底有没有 require of Sb to do Sth, 偶就不敢百分百肯定了. XDF有提到require的四种用法, 其中之一就是这. 只是偶到现在还是半信半疑的....

句中的（ required (B) of firms to survive in the electronics industry）是作为the enormous research and development expenditures的修饰成分。

调整语序为：required (B) of firms the enormous research and development expenditures to survive in the electronics industry 。

后面的to survive in the electronics industry 是用来修饰前面这个required (B) of firms the enormous research and development expenditures

偶觉得：即便有require of sb.sth. to do...这个用法，其中的sth.一定不可以少，另外，to do也一定不是require的逻辑宾语，而是表require目的的不定式。
