Well this is a tough question. You are looking at two bad scenarios—I wouldn’t recommend either one. But it sounds as though I have two choices: 1) Go with a recommender who may write something negative 2) Go with a recommender who is a peer Given the choice between the two, I would select #2. A negative rec will work AGAINST your application. But a peer rec will simply not help. L Honestly, I would try to avoid both… Good luck!
