这题D为什么错呢？underwent不是Vt吗？把它看作谓语动词不可以吗？M这个地方经历过人类的定居。。。

因为D选项里 IT 指代不清楚，可以是说 madagascar 也可以说 human settlement. 并且 MAKING 表示结果。。不是M underwent human settlement 就让它成为理想的 SITE 了，而是因为它是 ONE OF THE LAST。但是 D 选项没有强调这点。

而E 更有逻辑关系，IT 也只能指代前面那个原因句子里的主语 madagascar, 因为主从要并列。。。

答案是E 吧？
