LBS vs UCSD

LBS （Masters in management）
优点：TIER 1的牛商学院，能体验到真正的商学院教育，回国牌子也响，始终是名校；学生很diversified，世界各地的都有。而且师兄师姐的就业好像很不错。

缺点：只有一年，感觉太匆忙；学费和生活费都贵，一年也要35W-40W；管理硕士，课程在金融、会计、市场等方面都涵盖一点，课程不够专，不知道会不会不利于找工作。英国好像比较闷

2.工作前景：

6 of us, 4 from finance and they all get awesome offers like Goldman IBD, I am in a marketing consulting firm and the last one is an German language background and she is still looking, but that is only because she wants to enter into financial area where finance background is a must. Career service does help a lot. （from 上届师姐。不过他们本科都是北大清华人大复旦交大毕业的，不知道有没有影响）

UCSD-University of California, Sandiego( international affairs in pacific studies)

优点：学校在美国排名38.而且国际关系这专业在美国排第10.两年，可以慢慢适应。美国，觉得机会比英国多一点点。政治经济结合，学的东西比管理专业一点。可以申请助教（不知道行不行），两年，可能进去后可以争取到奖学金。比较多朋友亲戚在美国(这个可以算是优点么)美国好像没那么闷

缺点：因为学得也比较泛，而且与政治有关。不知道会不会在美国难找工作。学费贵（如果没有任何补助）要60万。而且就业前景好像不是十分乐观。学起来应该也会比较辛苦。回国的话牌子肯定没有LBS这么强。

工作前景：

暂时好像还没有确定找到工作的，只有一个学姐是拿到yale和mit的phd offer，不过好像其他人都有实习，貌似真正找到一份工作不是很难（from在读师姐）

其实我现在也不是太清楚我的职业规划，我的首要目标就是读完能在当地工作一段时间。到底是要到金融机构还是咨询公司还是政府机关，我都不知道。不过我内心还是挺希望能够与金融有多一点相关的。所以希望大家能给点意见。谢谢。

英国是留不下来的，美国是很难留下来但是还算有点希望的，就看lz的未来发展是想怎样了

SYF正中我心头之纠结啊。如果能在美国发展，我肯定是去UC。可是美国工作不好找啊，加上如果回国，那肯定LBS响啊~而且UC得学费比LBS也是贵的。
其实大家有没有考虑一年和两年的不同呢。一年会不会给人以职业培训的感觉呢？

没去过伦敦，圣地亚哥倒是上上周去的。我心目中的北美最佳城市（去过20多个大城市吧）强烈推荐一下

G 740 T113 汇丰AXA招行一证券公司实习去过CFL（两个星期得美国交流）做过一些志愿者。没有牛推没论文。

楼主还有别的offer么，如果有LSE的Finance我会去LSE...毕竟同学finance实习很多，应该走finance track吧。。。而这两个都貌似里离finance不近。。
去查查US关于non-for-profit的签证问题吧，好像不受h1b的限制。。我是真喜欢圣地亚哥这个地方。。美国还是值得住一段时间的，尤其是加州：）
但LBS也确实是好学校，咱MiM专业到底有多好就不知道了。。希望MBA/MiF不要overshadow这个mim啊。。

去年6个，今年也差不多吧。。。。
谁也没说LBS不好。。。。还不让人比较了。。每个人情况都不一样
而且楼上的不也是在美国么。。。
