In my opinions, reading academic papers are similar to watching movies. It is not necessary to remember all details. I only need to understand the main point of the paper. Sometimes, a paper can have ten hypotheses. However, not all hypotheses are equally important. I only capture the core hypotheses. Of course, it would be much better if you know what you want to get from the paper before reading. For example, some papers are good at methods and you only need to focus on the method section and ignore other parts. |
