I got admitted to MS in accounting program at Pace University, Boston College and University of Maryland in this fall semester. Start from New York, I am doing an unpaid part time job in NYSSA (New York Society of Security Analysts). The job is about Membership database maintenance and marketing. But I can take some courses and networking events from NYSSA. MS in accounting at Baruch College rejected me because it said that I don’t have full time experience before. But it also said if I keep my current job up to 6 months then I can apply for Spring semester next year. Therefore, if I stay at Pace for one semester, I will try to transfer to Baruch College in next spring semester. For University of Maryland, the class there is only on Saturday because it needs to consider part time students. So I guess I can meet some part time student who already in the accounting industry. And maybe they can give more information in this industry. For Boston College, I think it has good reputation in New England. But I am not sure if it has lots of networking events as in New York City. I also want to find a part time job no matter which school I should go. Which school do you think I should go? |
