Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? In order to understand truly world event, some people think news from newspaper is better than television news. Give specific reasons and details to support your opinion

Some people hold the opinion that news from newspaper is beneficial for people to increase their existing warehouse knowledge, while others have the negative attitude. If I must have an option between them, i would choose behind, the later. my arguments for the point are listed as follows.
i agree with the statement that news in television can benefit people a lot in absorbing the news easily. Since I believe the colorful and vivid images on the screen would catch people's attention. take my father as an example, after a hard working of whole day, he would have no mood in wearing his glasses and browse through the newspaper, especially for obtaining home and world news in this tedious way. Not only it will drain his eyes but also will make him feel tired. however, the news from television with so many wonderful pictures and various sound will cause his great interest. he can just stay in bed when he watches the TV. it is a wise way that help people learn news from relaxation..
Another reason that can be seen by everyone is that news in television can be best updated. it reflect the situation immediately. For instance, when the massive earthquake happened in Wenchun, just with the live broadcast we can see directly how the situation on the scene is and go our great lengths to give them help which they need badly. in this way, our citizens can organize volunteers to aid them. While from the newspaper, we can not know such a serious catastrophe have happened until tomorrow. From the case, we can know that the updated news in television always is the most latest.
Admittedly, the news from television have a few of advantages such as it is convenient for us to carry. For example, when we on the way that took buses to work, we could take the newspaper out to kill time. And now it has became a habit of most people. but the advantages of news from television overweigh the news from newspaper.
Taking into account of all these factors, we may reach the conclusion that the news from television enables us to acquire news easily and immediately. it is sagacious for us to agree with the statement that news from newspaper can contribute to us in broadening our horizon.
