题目Which is better, doing work by machine or doing work by hand.  

In my opinion, it depends on different situation to judge that doing work by machine or doing work by hand is better. Here some reasons why.

To begin with, in an industrial society, with the high end technologies, people may regard efficiency is the first priority.  Therefore, people may pursue the mass production and high-efficiency produced by machine.  Machines such as computer can lift the productivity in a short time at a lower cost.  Thus, the business owner may earn a descent profit by doing work with machine.  Especially, when it comes to standardizing the products, people rely on machine to have the goods made in the same scale and same quality.  In a modern world, it is impossible to have work done without machine. 

However, people easily get tired of the same style of products and try to get unique goods/ services.  For example, many brands try to provide their clients with differnt service and customized goods, such as hand-made cookies, suits and etc.  That is, people would like to be different from others and wish to have special products which are tailor-made for them.  At this moment, a work done by hand may best suit picky clients' need and guarantee the uniqueness.  For example, a hand made suit may meet a premium client's taste more than a mass produced jacket.  A hand-made work will differentiate from the ordinary mass production by a machine.

To sum up, it depends on the situations which vary with different business model and circumstances to conclude that which way is better, doing work by machine or doing work by hand.  People shall evaluate the conditions to see which way is better to do work.  After all, work can be done by many ways.  People should take more factors into consideration when they need to make a decision or choose which way is more suitable to accomplish their tasks.
