TT-GWD2-34，我有不同意见

答案选C

有些人说是A

但是本人觉得应该选B, 原因如下：

1）whether and ..whether 并列，排除D， E

2）A和C的presuming都没有逻辑主语, those traces不能作为presume的逻辑主语

3)  presume that....或presume sth. to be done....，A和C中 presume 后面显然跟的是从句，而不是分词

B的缺点在于can those traces....; 但好像不是严格的错误？？

熊猫不是不用再考了?怎么还在这里?

我也是在BC中选择,最后倒向c

我认为c这样理解会更好:presuming的逻辑主语是approach可能就说得通了

b我觉得有两点不妥,1是can those traces,这里是倒装?有点牵强,没有任何理由和证据说倒装;2是can,我觉得逻辑意思是"是否仍存在",而不是"是否仍能存在"

赫然写着："宾语从句用陈述语序....."

这题....让我很无语.....

presume这里是省略了that

其次,approach不能presume,我理解是陈述下条件吧,画外音说的,^_^

宾语从句用陈述语气,这个好像没逻辑,不是考点吧,这里我只是觉得没有必要使用"能"或"能够"表示能力

GWD SC还是要错好几个,错2,3,4都有,偶尔争议题多就错5,6个

从排除法来看，也只有C了

先撇开楼主讲的presuming的问题（其实从考试技巧的角度考虑， 4个选项都用了 presuming， 几乎就可以确定B的用法是错了）

A：我觉得can的用法不恰当， 似乎这里不是在说可能性的问题，而是说those traces是否现在还存在。

B： 语序，没有必要倒装； it is presumned 罗嗦

看来也只有C了。

最让我疑惑的是Presuming的用法，

我感觉这里的presuming类似于插入语（可以把它看作如including那样，不用考虑逻辑主语），是从作者的口吻出发的，所以是作者的presume（不确定，我自己猜的）

GWD RC里面的一句（所有的GMAT资料只找到这么一句 ）：

actually, it is rather easy to exclude B, that is a basic grammar mistake you knew in high school.

in the suboridinate clause of english, the verb should stay behind the subject right?

so, it should be,

*** not answered the questions of whether forms merged..... and whether those traces still exsit........

"the question whether can those those..... "is obviously wrong.
