statement? A zoo has no useful purpose. Use specific reasons and examples to

For most people, zoos are built for
tourism. This simplistic perspective can be easily refuted by people who
believe zoos limited the freedom of animals and thus inhumane. However, deeper
proofs indicate the necessity of creating zoos which act for animal protection,
provides great sites for zoological and biological studies, and raises funds
for researches and further protection.

The role of zoos in shielding endangered
animals is significant. Due to climate change and pollution, thousands of
species are facing the adversity of extinction and some have been already wiped
out. The best and maybe the only shelter for them is a zoo. For instance,
thousands of unique African animals are shipped to America in an attempt saving
their rights to live. The zoos also provide appropriate environment for animal
to reproduce. No one would doubt this effort by zoos.

Moreover, for most zoological and biological studies, zoos seem to be a better
and easier approach. Since many animals are now rare to be found in natural
environment and preserved in zoos, experts might easily find the target species
and do researches in a zoo. Then, they don’t need to risk themselves in
elements and unpredictable wild. This great feature of zoos definitely
demonstrates the advantage of having zoos as the base for zoological and
biological study.

In addition, zoos are not simply open for
tourism. The money raised by zoos is used efficiently into different areas to
benefit the animals. It can be used in expanding the wildlife preserve and improving
environment. Some of it can fund the animal research or organizations interested
in protecting environment. Finally, it can flourish the zoos with new
technologies and import more endangered species for the betterment of animals.

All in all, although some people may remain
unconvinced, the reasons I have analyzed could at least make them more aware of
the various dimensions of the issue under discussion. There is no doubt that
more and more people will come to realize that zoos are built for purpose and
for great and disputable purpose.
