到美国之后能否办信用卡?

因为办的中国银行的信用卡不能网上支付 感觉很不方便,.....

如果没有SSN 能否在美国当地办一张信用卡呢? 这个信用卡能进行网上支付吗?

没有ssn是绝对不能办信用卡的

所谓信用卡，就是用你信用来担保的

美国公司用你的ssn来track你的信用，如果没有，怎么知道你的信用

不过存钱的ATM卡上面也有visa，mastercard标志的，大部分时候可以和信用卡一样用

不过是直接从你帐户扣钱。这个卡某些网站可以支付，某些不行

有了SSN以后，但是没有信用，可以先在银行开一个secured credit card，然后积累9个月左右的信用

然后就可以申请普通信用卡了

国内办张双币的就可以了，免年费免交易手续费

citi,chase的卡一张要收$85的年费，而且样子极其丑陋，和招行的kitty卡差远了

你说的大概是secured card

我的信用卡都是免费的，还给1-5%的回扣，看你买什么。chase的

一般1年下来都有几百块的回扣

不过某些特别的积攒里程的卡是有手续费的

还有american express很多有手续费，比方说AE的金卡，白金卡等

很多地方不收echeck

而且credit card远要比check安全的多的多

一般来说信用卡丢了以后或者被人盗用， 60天内向发卡公司提出dispute

都是先全额退还，然后再调查

如果是什么echeck

出了问题，什么时候调查完和什么时候退钱给你都没准

I know for a fact that I own my first REAL US credit card before I have SSN. Even though as that time the credit limit was only $500. But once you have it, you can request increasing the limit every 3-6 months.

What you I did was I deposited a bank draft of $10000 and opened a checking and saving account at Chase. (I think you can deposit less than that but that was how much I deposited.) The personal banker said even though I did not have SSN, she could let the bank monitor my usage history of my account and requested a credit card for me after 3 months. And she encouraged me to use my check card frequently to generate more transaction history. After three months, a credit card was mailed to me.
