Wanna share the recent interview experience with a Duke alumni at BJ. I applied in Round 3, only because of my intense work assignment around the r2 deadline, so didn't expect to receive an interview opportunity. The alumni is very nice and quick-minded, some questions are like(not necessarily in the order they were asked): 1. Why undergraduate school? Why this major? 2. Why go to graduate school? Why this graduate school? 3. Tell me about your work responsibilities 4. How's your english writing? 5. Why MBA? Why duke? 6. What do you think is the most needed skill in MBA study? 7. How do you see yourself? What unique? 8. Career goals? Why? There were many questions, this was the most interactive interview I've ever experienced this year, and those questions were all related to my personal experience and choices. The alumni followed up every quesiton I answered and jump to other quesitons quickly. After the interview, although don't know the result, I had a good feeling, because the discussion itself was exciting. It's my first and maybe the only alumni interview. I think I prefer to talk to an alumni instead of an adcom officer. Wish everybody good luck and cross fingers for myself!
