rejection from Chicago, finance phd

Just got the rejection letter from Chicago GSB:
" We have carefully considered your application for
admission to the Ph.D. Program at the University of Chicago’s
Graduate School of Business for Autumn 2008. I regret to inform you that
we are unable to offer you a place in our entering class.The quality and size of this year’s applicant
pool presented us with some very difficult decisions, and we have had to deny
admission to many qualified applicants. Our action is not intended to
discourage your interest in further study nor is it a judgment of your overall
ability. Rather, it reflects the competitive nature of our admissions
process."

It is expected but still disappointing. Chicago is one of the best in finance.
It is near the end of this admission season. Wish everyone the best!
