022 We all work or will work in our jobs with many different kinds of people. In your opinion, what are some important characteristics of a co-worker (someone you work closely with)? Use reasons and specific examples to explain why these characteristics are important.

Working is both an indispensable and essential part of our life, because we spend a lot of time and energy in it. Consequently, co-workers play an important role in our lives. Different people may have different preferences on the characteristics of co-workers. Personally, I would like to lay emphasis on three aspects: the attitude of sharing, and the skill of communication.

I look forward to working with a co-worker who has an attitude of sharing. A co-worker with the attitude of sharing is a person who is willing to help others master things on every possible occasion. For example, if he has a particular skill that helps him deal with charts comparatively fast, and is willing to share, he will probably teach others in need to improve the efficiency of the company as a whole. In other words, employees in the same office may possess a variety of capabilities；
            However, without an attitude of sharing, we can hardly enhance our skills on different aspects, which can be a great waste of time.

Nevertheless, even if a co-worker is willing to share with others, he can only convey important information to his co-workers on the condition that he has a good skill of communication. A proper skill of communication includes the skill of presenting one's idea clearly and coherently, the skill of absorbing other's opinion in a modest way, the skill of dealing with conflicts when people are taking opposite sides. In short, an person with excellent communication skill can not only be able to show to others his position, but also be able to present his understanding towards others so as to reach an effective result when people are trying to solve problems.

By choosing cautiously, I take these two aspects as important characteristics of a co-worker.

(Currently, we our common people spend most of time in dealings at work everyday, coping with arduous matters and communicating with all kinds of people. So complex are jobs that we never succeed to accomplish without cooperating with working peers. Personally, I prefer to work with those who equip with such qualities as enthusiastically sharing attitude and perfect communication skills)
