Some young children spend a great amount of their time practicing sports. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Participating any sports, especially basketball, table tennis, offers us a chance of doing physical exercises which is essential in the maintaining of physical health as well as high spirits. But, it is detrimental to young child to spend a mount of time on practicing sports. In some sense, sport is a two-edge weapon to youth according to many reasons.

For one thing, obviously, in order to keep healthy, the optimal way is doing sports everyday, sport not only has a attribute of interesting and efficient, but also has a significant mental effect that make the youth to gain much spiritual support. I am frequent basketball player, it enables me to keep in touch with my classmates, because we are usually busy with different tasks and have less and less time to communicate and share happiness with each other. In addition, it also strengthens my sense of team-spirit, in the role, it is our honor to cooperate with one anther and fight as a team to bear victories and failures, that completely breaths life into my extracurricular activity.

By comparison, spending much time on sport is not as appropriate as we expected, advantage is apparent but sport triggers a problem that is also visible. A good example is that all young children have responsibility to accomplish their studies. And, it is safe to say that less time will be spent on school work if they become addict to the activities of sport. Time is precious to youth that they should focus on their so-called obligation.

In conclusion, everything do have their reason to exist. Scientists have discovered that sport has exerted great influence to the world. We hold Olympics to maintain friendship between countries, women do jogging to lose their weight. But , furthermore, it is necessary to students to keep in line with their studies which seems beneficial to a young person’s life.
