in addition to 这里不平行吗?

a错在and 后面不能再有 because，and前后应该是两个名词结构，删除because后还得删除charcoal使replaced成为过去分词作定语，a才算对

b错在 in addition to 后面的名词结构从语义上说是主要的，它前面的名词结构是修饰in addition to 后面的名词结构；而整个句子的宾语“the replacement of charcoal by coal for the fuel used in the smelting of iron ore” 在逻辑上是主要的，如此便是矛盾

以前版本的是C,后来修正的答案是A

个人认为ＥＴＳ　是把存在问题的句子给出，寻找解决方式，其结构一般不变，除非句子本身存在结构问题．
