Just got it. very late. They took me off the waitlist.

I only applied three schools in a rush, I thought I could not get any offer for this year and already concentrate what I'm doing now.

Now I got this in such a late time. I have to decide right away.

Should I quit my PhD. studying and go for MBA right now? or I should continue to finish my degree?

You want to quit Phd? So I assumed that you are a career switcher and may top MBA programs serve your purpose better.

Phd program provides stipend; while MBA is an investment only if you receive some scholarship. The start salary of Phd is probably higher than that for MBA graduate from B-school ranking after 30.

Since you have strong academic background, you may consider Sloan, Berkeley, standford and CMU, the B-schools that favor academic achievements and facilitate your career change. So why not finish phd and get some work experience and then apply top programs?

I got the admission email last week, not sure about financial aid. the admission email did not say anything about that. I haven't heard anything about that till now. Camellia, so chance of getting any money is not good, right? or, maybe I still can expect the incoming award letter?

My ex-boss of phd. left and I had to work for another prof., it may take me two years from now to get the degree. And, I don't like physics anymore. I got to make the decision very soon...

30+, 4 years w.e. in manufacturing. B. Sc. in physics, M.Sc in physics, now getting my phd. still in physics.

I have some papers published, but I don't like physics anymore and do not want a career like that.

founded a online company, not earning money right now but I think it's on the right track.

any comment welcome.

I don't think your chances are bad although it is a little late. Anyway, the school's yield rate is not high.
